Leave your Purple Flower Moment
Who received the pie?
 slow day at work
I am sitting at work (in a box office at Tuacahn, an outdoor amphitheater in southern Utah), looking at an empty bird's nest outside my window and hoping today will continue to be a slow day at work so I can finish "Encyclopedia of an Ordinary Life."
Posted by: Natalie Johansen on May 17, 11 | 7:35 am my favorite place in the Caribbean
Yesterday, a small purple flower popped up in my favorite hot tub on my island in the Caribbean. It made me smile because it wasn't there a moment ago.
That afternoon I was given this book as a b'day gift from a woman who owns a book and bean store.
We had an island wide power outage last night and I made a serious dent of the book in the dark with a pointed flashlight shinning my way through your thoughts and words.
Today, being my b'day, I took the day off and sat again in my favorite hot tub, reading this book. But today, I got to the part of the purple flower. Once again, I was in the perfect place a day ahead of myself. How spontaneous of ME!

I am reading on the couch, waiting for the raspberry almond cake to finish baking so that I can go to bed ...

The Chicago, Boston and San Francisco installments of the Lost and Found Project are now complete. 150 books were "intentionally left" around each city by a team of 20 friends/Book Hiding Specialists. They left them in places like the freezer at grocery store, shelf at Blockbuster, in the arms of a statue. Quite a few people wrote in to share their (often serendipitous) story of where & when they found the book. Filmmaker Steve Delahoyde documented the hiding of the first batch of Chicago books in this two-minute short film.
